Walk for Animals is June 11

We are so excited to commemorate our 30th anniversary with our community. NEW location: Join us on the State House lawn to celebrate 30 years of Vermonters coming together to help save animals. Parade with us through Montpelier, and show off how much you love our furry friends! And help us make our ambitious goal of $71,000!

How much fun will it be to celebrate animals on our State House Lawn? Event starts at 9:30am on June 11. Walk is about a mile and a third – route map here.

We are planning tons of fun activities!

  • Our Doggie Costume Contest is BACK!
  • Doggie Trick Contest is BACK!
  • New this year- bring your CVHS Alumnus doggie and join our Alumni Photo that will be posted on our website and social media!
  • New: During the walk, and weather permitting, Michael Loris will play the 11-bell chime (five tons of bronze bells) in the tower of Trinity Methodist Church.  Ten of the bells were cast in 1908, and the heaviest bell (2,552 lb.) is celebrating its sesquicentennial this year.  Animal-themed songs will include bears, a chicken, dogs, cats, a mule, a frog, a rabbit, a sheep, horses, and Yankee Doodle’s pony.

Also new this year – Are you up for a challenge? Our generous sponsors, all local VT businesses, have already raised a record-breaking $41,000. For our 30th Anniversary, can you help us raise an additional $30,000?  If 300 of our supporters pledged to raise only $100 each, we are there!

That would add up to an amazing total of $71,000 to help the animals at CVHS, our highest goal since before the pandemic.

YOU can make a difference! Every single dollar you raise will help provide food, shelter, exceptional care, and love, to homeless animals. Over 1000 animals this year will need CVHS. Every penny counts. We need you – register and set up your fundraising page today!

There will be amazing prizes for the Top Three Adult fundraisers, the Top Three Child fundraisers, and the Top Team.

  • Check/cash donations must be postmarked by June 1, and online donations need to be submitted by June 10 to be considered for prizes.
  • No money can be collected at the event.
