Luigi came to us because his family was moving and couldn't take him along.
We immediately got his fleas under control, and put him on a diet. In the two weeks he's been with us, he's already lost four pounds, and his hair is starting to grow back!
He's a friendly guy, especially if you'll give him scritches, and he loves to sniff around our yards. He's going for brief jogs with staff, and we're already seeing an increase in his energy, now that he's losing weight.
His new owner will need to be committed to keeping him on his diet -- it's very unhealthy for him to be this grossly overweight -- and his new human should continue to give him exercise every day.
His previous owner says he was good around children age 7 and older, but small, fast-moving kids made him nervous.
His adoption fee includes a six-week Good Manners training class.
