Bear is a curious but timid boy who explores his environment at his own pace. Originally a stray that his finder took in during colder months, Bear has done fine with felines, but children and dogs he would hiss at, and hide from. Bear has a deep, comforting purr that he does show off, once he settles in, and gets comfortable with his human companion.
Do you have a home that can take on a feline that has a compromised immune system? Bear has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, also known as FIV, attacks a cat's immune system, leaving him to be at risk for other health issues.
FIV is not contagious to humans but does require a cat who is positive to live in a only-cat household or can live with another FIV positive cat. All FIV positive cats should be kept indoors. Here is a great link to tell you more about FIV https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus
