Moss came to us when his small-animal prey drive was not compatible with his previous living situation, and he's looking for a new home with no small animals, but he'd do well living with other dogs, to help build his confidence. He lived with other dogs in his previous home, and has done great with dogs here. When meeting new people, he's shy and somewhat fearful, but having another dog gives him confidence.

Moss also lived with kids, but small children would be scary for him, so his new home should be with no children, or older, calm children. Once he has warmed up, he loves to play with toys, and he really enjoys being outside. In his previous home, he had access through a dog-door to a fenced-in yard, and spent lots of time outside. He is crate trained, but also did well loose in a house.

Moss has been diagnosed as hypothyroid, and takes daily medication for his condition. The medication is not expensive, but his adopters need to be able to provide it his entire life.

A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Moss' $300.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about Moss, and to determine if you should meet him.
