Chomp, Chomp, here's silly boy Jaws! We've heard the feedback regarding Jaws' name and wanted to set the record straight. Originally named by using an antiphrasis, staff thought Jaws was a purr-fect name for a cat with such a happy personality, who loves to show off his big pearly whites when he yawns.

Over his time at CVHS, he has had an autoimmune response to vaccines, so needs an adopter who is willing to work with their veterinarian on vaccine titers and keep him indoors. One of the downfalls of being at CVHS for lots of medical care to get him healthy and adoptable, is getting bored and showing staff and volunteers that he isn't loving his accommodations. His play-style is on the rougher side, and he is love-biting when he is getting overstimulated, or if you are not giving him what he is asking for right away. He has even been vocal when a staff member has been on a call in Jaws' office, as he also had an opinion to share. Today, he upgraded his living quarters to a cat colony room, complete with a catio for more space and enrichment, and even a feline friend. While he has been with us, he has made it very clear he is NOT A FAN of dogs, and he seeks a canine-free home.

So, the joke is on us for naming him Jaws, since he's a sweet boy who occasionally will chomp when playing. Do you have a purr-fect home for this busy guy?

Ready to meet Jaws?
