We are still beaming about our big 🐾Walk for Animals🐾 event that took place over the weekend. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this year’s event one to remember! The rain held off, so many of our friends (furry and human) showed up, Meteorologist Alex Wasilenko from Local 22 and Local 44 News (mychamplainvalley.com) kept the party going, and the dog contests were a real hit! Thanks to everyone‘s unwavering support, we not only met our $80,000 goal, we exceeded it — raising a record-breaking amount of $90,151.72 for the shelter animals at CVHS!

Our Walk for Animals wouldn’t be possible without the help of so many caring individuals and generous local businesses. HUGE thanks goes out to our registered fundraisers, to those who donated, and our event sponsors, including Top Dog Sponsors: 802 Cars, One Stop Country Pet Supply, and Walmart Berlin who have been loyal friends of CVHS in so many ways, and special thanks go to our Cat’s Meow sponsors, National Life Group Foundation, North Country Federal Credit Union, and Onion River Animal Hospital for their continued support. Please visit our website to see all our sponsors, who have contributed over $43,000 to our Walk.
Thank you to Capital Candy, Hannaford Supermarkets, and CVHS volunteer Wendy Knapp for donating a bunch of tasty refreshments for our guests. In addition, One Stop Country Pet Supply, Woodbury M
ountain Toys, Kennedy’s Flowers, Gifts and Antiques, Roam Vermont, Bear Naked Growler, AR Market, The Savoy Theatre, and Morse Block Deli for donating ALL of the prizes so that 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser goes directly to the animals! We’d also like to give a shout out to Paul Richardson (Storyworkz) who offered professional dog headshots with the proceeds benefiting CVHS shelter animals, along with Wayne Fawbush and an anonymous photographer who did an outstanding job capturing our special event.

Sincere thanks go to our Board of Directors, all of the volunteers and vendors who dedicated their time on Saturday to help offer all of the fun activities.
And finally, so much gratitude goes to our dedicated, hard-working and compassionate staff who make everything CVVHS does for the animals possible..
Walk for Animals is a great example of how our community comes together to accomplish the same goal – and that goal is to help vulnerable animals get a second chance to live their best life. We are so humbled by everyone’s support, thank you!
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR AN AMAZING EVENT!
