Dunkaroo came to us when her family realized that they were not meeting the needs of a young, active dog.

Dunkaroo lived with multiple kids and a small dog in her previous home, and was great with both. The previous owner said she was exposed to chickens and other small animals, and did fine with them. Though she has not spent time with cats, she might be fine with a very confident dog-savvy cat. Her play attempts with smaller dogs and other animals is a bit much -- she doesn't understand her size.

According to her previous owners, she is crate trained, and happily slept in her crate at night. Her previous owners left her loose in the house when they were gone, and she did fine.

She is young, happy, and full of energy. She loves chasing balls and other toys, and is very playful in our fenced-in yards. She enjoys spending time outdoors as much as she loves to cuddle. She has enjoyed meeting everyone, and will quickly lean into you for attention and pets. She is learning how to walk on a leash, and doing great so far. We are working on four on the floor, to counter-balance her need to get up to eye level.

A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Dunkaroo's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about her, and to determine if you should meet Dunkaroo.
