Frost
Frost is a beautiful blue-eyed girl with a sweet & playful personality. She loves to romp, chase/be chased, and tumble around with her mom before exploring the world nose first, then trots on over for some human affection. She is walking well on our trails with a front-clip harness, and should continue working on her loose-leash walking through Positive Reinforcement training.
Frost came to us with her mother Lola, when their owner was moving away and could not take the dogs. Frost is very strongly bonded to her mother, and becomes quite anxious when separated, so we are looking to adopt these two beauties into a loving home together. She is still building her confidence being separate from her mother, and is most comfortable when they are near each other (we are kenneling them together, but also giving them time apart). She still howls & whines consistently doing anything too far away from her mom. They would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard, or with an owner who fully understands that they need to be on leash or long-line at all times, to prevent the classic husky disappearing act!
A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Frost's and Lola's adoption fee, which is discounted for the pair, at $500.00. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about them, and to determine if you should meet Frost and Lola.
