The event of the summer, Dog Day at the Pool is Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 5:00pm-6:30pm, at the Montpelier pool. The only day dogs are allowed to swim, this event is always a ton of fun. While dogs love it, plenty of people come just to watch the excitement of happy dogs playing!
Tickets are required. Too many dogs at once can pose a risk, so we will be selling a limited number of tickets, and you must purchase your ticket ahead of time.
Admission is $20 for one dog, and $10 for each additional dog. If you don’t have a dog and want to come watch, we’d appreciate it if you would purchase a ticket. Proceeds from ticket sales help cover our costs of the event, which are fairly high due to the event requiring so many of our staff to come and watch over all the dogs. Any remaining funds will go directly to the animals!
Don’t forget to bring your wallets… We will also be having a bake sale and toy sale at the event, proceeds benefit our animals.
• All dogs must be off leash while in the fenced-in pool area (this helps prevent leash aggression)
• Maximum 2 dogs per adult
• Some dogs tire quickly or find this event stressful. Please pay attention for signs that your dog is anxious and/or tired
• Please supervise your dog(s) for safe play with other dogs
• Tennis balls, Frisbees and sticks are allowed
There are no lifeguards & the water filtration system is off.
NO SWIMMING, NO CHILDREN IN THE WATER
Adults may only wade in the water to knee height
Dog Day at the Pool is RAIN OR SHINE. We will only cancel if there are thunderstorms in the forecast and will post on our Facebook page and website if we are forced to cancel due to thunderstorms.
