Sign up for May 10 Foster Orientation

Interested in helping to save animals by fostering animals for CVHS? Do you have room, time, and TLC to provide for animals in need, for a temporary period of time? Come to our Foster Care Orientation to learn all about how you can help. This is a great opportunity for those who want to help animals but cannot adopt!

Primarily, we need fosters for cats and kittens once the warmer weather hits during what we call “kitten season.” Things have not started up in earnest yet, but want to be prepared! Cats and their kittens remain in foster care until they are ready for adoption at the adoption center.

We do occasionally need dog fosters or puppy fosters as well. Dog fosters would primarily be for a dog recovering from a surgery, or puppies waiting to be big enough to be spayed/neutered and adopted into new homes.

One of the many things you’ll learn at orientation is CVHS provides all the supplies and support for our animals while they remain in their designated foster homes.

Our Foster Care Orientation will be May 10th, from 9:30a-11:30am at CVHS Adoption Center (1589 Vermont Rte 14S). To sign up to attend orientation, please email foster@centralvermonthumane.org to get the forms and confirm you’re on the roster for orientation!
