Walk for Animals is our biggest event fundraiser of the year, gathering hundreds of Vermonters together to celebrate the love of animals and the importance of the life-saving work we do for needy pets. Taking place on Saturday, June 7, 2025 on the State House Lawn, this FREE, public event, offers businesses a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of hundreds of shelter pets and showcase their commitment to the community by helping to improve animal welfare in our state – which impacts everyone.
Sponsors have proven to be the key piece of our Walk’s success, typically making up 40% of our overall fundraising goal, and igniting the spark for this important event.

Last year’s event was a blast — From our various vendors (event sponsors), pet trivia, reading time with the Kellogg Hubbard Library, our pet trick contest and costume contest, and family friendly crafts, everyone had a great time – humans and pets! With the help of 34 local businesses, plus peer-to-peer fundraisers and individual donors, we raised over $78,800 for animals at CVHS.
